From designers exploring traditions through a contemporary voice to those who are at the forefront of progressive production technologies, Downtown Design will present its largest ever curation of regional talent.

Presenting 40 designers from the UAE, and over 20 from regional cities ranging from Beirut to Amman and Casablanca, the fair will demonstrate how brilliantly ambitious and sophisticated the regional design scene is becoming.

Downtown Editions, the fair’s new element dedicated to limited-edition and bespoke design will offer both Trade and Public visitors the opportunity to commission and purchase works from individual designers, brands, collectives and studios from around the world and with a focus on the region.

Dubai-based designer Layth Mahdi will debut his new collection developed using algorithms to guide robotic manufacturing. He will be joined by other regional designers including Designed by Hind, Fadi Sarieddine and Tinkah as they present their latest collections.

Established studios such as Aljoud Lootah, Monogram, Rejo and Saccal Design House will exhibit alongside showcases by Dubai Culture & Arts Authority who will present Shak'l, a new collection of adaptive seating by designer Abdalla Almulla. Also, Dubai Design District (d3) will unveil the winner of Design 100, a design challenge launched as part of their Design for Good initiative.

Bridging regional talent with international expertise are Lasvit and Cosentino; both brands will present large-scale installations created in collaboration with UAE-based designers.
