The Downtown Design calendar kicked off on March 2nd with an exclusive networking event hosted by Veuve Cliquot to informally announce the next edition of the fair. Industry VIPs, leading brands, designers and influencers met on the 40th floor of the H Hotel at 40 Kong to celebrate the start of what will be an exciting year for the industry.

On March 17th, Downtown Design’s Rue Kothari will present a unique talk with designer Nada Debs, to discuss the retrospective exhibition that marks her 10-year anniversary. The installation which will be unveiled at Design Days on March 15, provides fresh perspective on the work which has forged the designers success from East to West. Designdaysdubai.ae

April 1, sees the first of Downtown Design’s monthly Future Design Talks, continuing the success of last year’s Original Talks that promoted discourse on the importance of authentic design. This year, our subjects are inspired by the Fair’s theme of Discovery and Innovation and will offer exhibitors, industry professionals and design enthusiasts the opportunity to debate topics that will have great impact on our growing city.
