Downtown Design, the Middle East’s leading fair for contemporary and high-quality design, is set for 4-8 November 2026 at Dubai Design District (d3), marking one of the region’s key moments on the international design calendar.
This year, Dubai Design Week explores the role of design in strengthening connection and shaping how people gather, interact and experience everyday life. Highlights include Abwab’s In Other Words, a group exhibition exploring language and meaning through design, and Urban Commissions' Atmospheres, which invites designers and architects to create urban infrastructure examining the sensory and psychological experience of space. The programme will also feature outdoor installations, hands-on workshops, immersive activations and a curated Marketplace.
Headlining the event is Downtown Design, which will see internationally renowned design brands and leading regional talent through a programme of immersive concepts, engaging talks and networking events.
A highlight for this November is a dedicated exhibition exploring the bold colours, graphic patterns and unconventional forms of the Memphis Design movement, and the influence it continues to have on contemporary design today.
Buccellati returns for a second year and will present Aquae Mirabiles, an immersive experience created with British artist and designer Luke Edward Hall, inspired by the mythology and symbolism of water and the Maison’s Caviar silverware collection.
Supported by Dubai Culture, the UAE Designer Exhibition returns under the theme Inherited Futures, with architect and designer AlZaina Lootah as Design Collaborator, spotlighting emerging UAE-based creatives and young practitioners.
The Veuve Clicquot Lounge will take shape through a new collaboration with British-Nigerian artist and designer Yinka Ilori, known for his distinctive use of colour, pattern and storytelling. The full programme will be announced soon, and registrations will open in October.
