British experience design studio Bompas & Parr and The Lighthouse will feature a luminous dessertconcept that will offer visitors a unique sensory experience at Downtown DesignRiyadh. Titled Haus of Edible Illuminations, the concept will be available for visitors from 21 – 23 May, and features a series of Mini cheesecakes coated in a specially developed phosphorescent glaze that reacts under UV light, transforming each dessert into a luminous, sculptural object. The flavour–colour combinations include pistachio with Comet Blue, passionfruit and yuzu with Luna Yellow, and strawberry with Astral Pink for an explosion of the senses. Conceived by local design firm Laeta Interior, the pop-up space is influenced by the disciplined dreamers of Bauhaus, with each cake presented in geometric forms that pay homage to the architectural style’s design principles.
