Majid Al Bastaki

Emirati designer Majid Al Bastaki presents BO NAKH-LA, a coffee table that carries the warmth and stories of 1980s UAE neighborhoods into contemporary interiors. Inspired by the steel doors of that era, the piece continues the spirit of the Al Bawaba Series, where lines, colors, and illustrations become storytellers, evoking memories of community, hospitality, and home.

Built on two bold square legs, BO NAKH-LA features whimsical illustrations of the Nakhla (palm tree) and Dalla (traditional coffee pot), iconic symbols of Emirati culture. Extruded plates extend from these motifs to hold dates and coffee cups, celebrating rituals of welcome and togetherness. Merging craftsmanship, heritage, and playful charm, the table transforms into a living expression of hospitality; a place where stories unfold, one cup and one date at a time.
