The BMW Lounge: the exclusive hospitality hub for Downtown Design Riyadh's VIPs

BMW Saudi Arabia will unveil a compelling spatial experienceat the inaugural Downtown Design Riyadh. The BMW Lounge, created with acclaimedSaudi designer and Partner and Executive Director at Kristina Zanic ConsultantsAmani Al-Ibrahim, articulates BMW’s progressive design language and ongoingdialogue with the world of architecture and innovation.

Design and automotive excellence converge in the immersivehospitality space created by Mohamed Yousuf Naghi Motors in partnership withthe award-winning Saudi designer who spearheads the practice in the Kingdom.The BMW Lounge will serve as the exclusive hospitality hub for Downtown DesignRiyadh's VIPs, including leading architects, designers, and tastemakers.

"I’m excited to be part of the first Riyadh edition of Downtown Design — a valuable addition to the growing design scene here," said Al Ibrahim. "For The BMW Lounge, we drew inspiration from our regional landscape, particularly the contours and elevations of the Tuwaiq Mountains, which hold deep cultural significance. The concept, Woven Landscape, shapes a calm, welcoming space that reflects the surrounding environment and encourages connection and conversation."

An award-winning interior design studio, Kristina Zanic Consultants is known for high-profile projects across the region and for creating immersive, sensory-rich environments that blend intelligent design with creative innovation, boasting a portfolio spanning over 300 projects across 20 countries to deliver standout designs for prestigious clients across the region.  

The lounge’s interiors were enriched throughpartnerships with leading design brands. Intimate seating clusters provide a setting forconversation or quiet reflection, featuring contemporary furniture pieces from TheBowery Company and Dome Furniture. An expansive outdoor terrace, furnished by Abyat, offers relaxed seating and a mocktail bar with sweeping views of the valley - extending the concept into the landscape. A custom-designed reception desk by local studio LAAN Designs anchors the space. Walls were finished with textured Jotun paintto strike a balance between raw authenticity and refined polish, while curatedrugs and carpets from AlShaya and Jaipur Rugs add warmth andsoftness underfoot.

Al-Ibrahim’s design expertise has earned her the title of Interior Designer of the Year at the Commercial Interior Design Awards for two consecutive years. Under her guidance, the studio continues to shape the Kingdom’s design landscape with several high-level projects.
