Downtown Design 2023 will take place 8-11 November at the Waterfront Terrace in the Dubai Design District (d3).

Celebrating its 10th edition this year, the 2023 fair will bring together a roster of some of the world's most known and established names alongside innovative design studios and craftsmen, making their debuts in the region, providing visitors with a diverse and inspiring array of design from around the world.

Renowned contemporary furniture brands are marking their presence at the fair with showcases featuring their latest designs; including iconic brands such as Cassina presenting their collections while Kartell returns to Downtown Design this year with a standalone exhibit, 10 years since their last participation. Across a range of product categories from furniture and lighting to rugs and homeware carefully curated in dedicated sections, leading brands such as Czech lighting specialist Lasvit, luxury custom-made carpet markers Illulian, sustainable design surface manufacturer Cosentino. Ethimo is back at Downtown Design this year, showing their latest outdoor collections and Casa Milano will unveil a large concept displaying the results of collaborations with local design firms throughout the year, pushing the boundaries of creativity and innovation.

Baituti Home are joining Downtown Design this year with a large scale showcase featuring Maxalto, among others, while Obegi Home will welcome visitors to the fair with a mono brand presentation and Purity are returning with Italian-Lebanese outdoor furniture brand Jwana Hamdan. Also returning to Downtown Design this year after a successful presence at the 2022 fair, Huda Lighting will stage their largest multi brand presentation to date, within a dedicated zone and experiential design concept while The Bowery Company will make their debut this year, with a showcase of selected participants.

Alongside world-renowned brands, visitors can discover limited edition and collectible design to commission from individual designers and collectives in Downtown Editions. Names include Emirati talent Omar Al Gurg, Lebanese Beit Collective showcasing pieces by Adam Nathaniel Furman, alongside diverse international designers and brands such as New Terracotta from Portugal and showcasing for the first time at Downtown Design Edward Linacre from Australia, Akar de Nissim from Singapore.

The week is complemented with talks and panel discussions at The Forum which hosts a series of live talks, active discussions and industry masterclasses featuring regional and international thought-leaders, promoting interaction and dialogue. A tailored line-up of creative installations, pop-up features and bespoke concepts will be staged throughout the fair, from special commissions to cultural pop-up exhibitions or country-specific initiatives collectively promoting their local design industries in the Middle East.

In its latest edition in 2022, the fair featured over 250+ international and regional brands, designers and manufacturers, showcasing contemporary and high-quality design, a vibrant talks programme and immersive installations for 21,000+ visitors that attended Downtown Design 2022.
