Part of Downtown Design’s onsite activations during Dubai Design Week, Associative Design presented a conceptual showcase spotlighting the diversity of Portuguese design.

Established by the Portuguese Association of Wood and Furniture Industries (AIMMP), Associative Design strives to raise the profile of Portuguese design globally. They included: Ferreira de Sá Rugs, João Bruno Design and Achilles since 1905 who showcased unique carpets, furniture and metal accessories that highlighted the rigor and quality of Portuguese craftsmanship. Known for their creative partnerships with prestigious international designers, fine porcelain atelier Vista Alegre  presented new work developed in collaboration with Ross Lovegrove and others.

Reflecting Portugal’s commitment to conscious design, brands included Around the Tree, DeFontes, Malabar, Homel Design Furniture and Creative Mary, amongst others, presented their latest collections that marry sustainability with high-craft and material innovation.
