After four days of stunning exhibitions, insightful talks and an array of events, Downtown Design closed its doors, with plans already afoot for 2014.

Highlights from the final day included a keynote lecture by Dorian Pauwels, Executive Director of ikonhouse on The Role of Craftsmanship in Contemporary Design, whilst Ben Evans, Co-founder and Director of the London Design Festival, shared his thoughts on how a design festival can make a difference to a city.

Having hosted over 30 talks and seminars; showcasing some of the most highly regarded brands in the design world; and with some of the biggest names in the industry attending the event, Downtown Design has already firmly established itself as a premier design event for the region, setting the benchmark for future projects.

Cristina Romelli Gervasoni, Fair Director, concluded: “We’ve been thrilled and delighted at the turn out to Downtown Design. All the months of hard work and effort that the team have put into making this fair truly special have without doubt paid off and it’s to their credit that we can say that the event has been an absolute success. I’d personally like to thank all of our exhibitors for putting so much thought and energy into their stands which has made the exhibition space so unique, as well as to all the designers and speakers who have provided unique insights into the global design world. Similarly, I’d like to thank everyone who attended the show across the four days – we hope you enjoyed it and we look forward to seeing you next year!”
