The dates for Downtown Design 2020 have been announced as 10 - 13 November. Once again, the commercial centerpiece of Dubai Design Week will be located at the d3 Waterfront.
Coinciding with Expo2020 Dubai, the fair will offer exhibiting brands a unique platform to connect with design professionals not only from the MENA region, but also international designers and potential clients visiting the city for the Expo.
Attracting over 19,000 visitors including the region's top design firms, industry decision-makers and influencers, Downtown Design 2019 showcased over 200 international and regional brands from over 30 countries, alongside a stellar talks programme and large-scale installations.
“Downtown Design is the most essential design event to attend in the region if you are connected to the industry in any way,” says Maliha Nishat, Director of Interior Design, Marriott International. “From collections that offered inspiration for upcoming projects to new connections made for the year ahead, there was so much to take away from Downtown Design’s 2019 showcase.”
The fair and its participating brands also caught the attention of top-tier international press titles such as FT How to Spend It, Wallpaper* and Dezeen, amongst others. BBC noted: “Downtown Design is the region’s most important design event, providing local and international visitors with a glimpse of design’s Evolution in the high-octane Emirate and the region.”
