Established in Dubai in 2008, Tashkeel seeks to provide a nurturing environment for the growth of contemporary art and design practice rooted in the UAE.
In 2013 Tashkeel launched Tanween, an annual professional development programme for innovative emerging designers working in the UAE which focuses on skills, materials and production processes innate to the region.
For the 2022 edition of the Tanween Programme, the six selected UAE-based designers have been exploring the theme of sustainability and how design can help address this fundamental challenge, the culmination of their work done over the last 11 months will be showcased the fair.
