The brand sources rare materials such as stingray leather; scarab wings; sea shells; ostrich and emu eggs; ebony and other precious woods. It uses traditional craft techniques, going to India for gem-cutting; Indonesia for wood-carving; Thailand for Niello work; and Japan and China for lacquer.
