Loreta Bilinskaite-Monie graduated from London St. Martins School of Art & Design, Inspired by traditions and culture of the Middle East, she looked for place to work and call home, she moved to Dubai 2003.
A small part of her latest Collection is proudly hosted in, 'Collective Downtown Editions 2018' and celebrates regional tradition and culture and the Shemagh with its relevance and importance in Bedouin life, which is the key element of the idea behind this body of work. Loreta has used all elements to bring together traditions in a Contemporary setting, representing survival and resilience while maintaining Elegance & Beauty.
Shemagh is one of four Collections Loreta Monie will be showcasing at Downtown Design. The rest being "Desert Sundial", "Bench" and "Generational Chairs".
