Italian high-jewelry and silverware Maison Buccellati returns to Downtown Design this November with an immersive experience created in collaboration with British artist and designer Luke Edward Hall.
Celebrating the Maison’s Caviar silverware collection, the Aquae Mirabiles concept draws on the mythology and symbolism of water, brought to life through Hall’s distinctive illustrations and Buccellati’s longstanding tradition of Italian craftsmanship.
Conceived as an imagined submerged world, Aquae Mirabiles takes visitors on a journey through water, history and fantasy. Mythological figures, marine life and references to Italian culture come together through Hall’s expressive visual language, creating a setting in which storytelling and silverware unfold side by side.
At the heart of the showcase is the Caviar collection, distinguished by its signature microsphere motif, a design language long associated with Buccellati’s jewelry and silverware. Across the collection, the motif takes on a new expression through traditional goldsmithing techniques and a contemporary approach to design.
