Bronzetto

Il Bronzetto is a Florentine workshop founded in 1963 by Antonio Calcinai in the historic Oltrarno district, where its showroom and workshop are still based today. Rooted in traditional bronze craftsmanship, the company has grown to combine classic techniques with modern approaches, including the use of new technologies and materials.

Its collections range from lighting and furniture to bathroom accessories, moving between classic, modern, and contemporary styles. Each piece reflects the workshop’s long experience with bronze working and its ongoing dialogue between tradition and innovation.

An annual platform for the local creative community, the UAE Designer Exhibition showcases emerging creative talent and budding designers in a curated feature situated within the Downtown Design fair, with the aim of enhancing visibility for early-career UAE designers, expanding their networks and providing commercial opportunity.

Supported by Dubai Culture & Arts Authority, the UAE Designer Exhibition presents a showcase of independent designers and studios who design with purpose, innovate beyond tradition, and draw from cultural narratives through contemporary aesthetics and modern fabrication techniques.

Contributing to building a diverse local creative scene, designers, makers, and independent studios based in the UAE and producing work locally can apply to participate in the 2026 iteration of the UAE Designer Exhibition and have their works showcased to a vast audience of B2C and B2C visitors at Downtown Design, 4-8 November, including opportunities for mentorship with globally renowned profiles of the creative industry, as well as opportunity for participation in showcases taking place internationally.
