Presented by an Emirati artist, Takiya is an integral element of the majlis, showcasing a unique form that seamlessly merges strength and softness featuring a solid bottom part that forms the foundation, providing it with a sturdy structure.
It represents the richness often associated with ceramic glazing, reflecting both tradition and opulence. As an essential component of traditional gatherings and social interactions in many Middle Eastern cultures, understanding the form and function of the Takiya is crucial
One distinctive characteristic of the Takiya is its final finish; a glazed glossy surface. This finish not only adds an aesthetic appeal but also pays homage to the vibrant colors commonly found in the majlis.
