Rolf Benz has come up with a quirky range of furniture to reflect the need for more flexible, domestic spaces

German family-owned company Rolf Benz may be best known for its bespoke high quality sofas but it’s its multi-purpose stools and coffee tables that are currently causing quite a stir. In particular, its “2 Go” collection.

The “Rolf Benz 2 Go” range of movable furniture is meant to add a touch of flexibility to our constantly evolving home life. The line comprises flexible tables, benches, stools, chairs and cushions arranged in a modular fashion – and can serve as either storage solutions or customizable accessories – to adapt to modern life’s multi-tasking nature.

First to appear in the range was the 3-legged coffee table, Rolf Benz 973, a minimalist characterful design. Winning design awards in Germany, it became so successful that it gave rise to a small collection. To complement the coffee table and the equally successful upholstered stool Rolf Benz 953, Rolf Benz worked with Hamburg-based labsdesign to develop another movable piece of furniture: Rolf Benz 945, which works as either bench or upholstered footstool. Its minimalist chic and full of the functional German flair Rolf Benz is known for.
