Middle Eastern designer Nada Debs shares her top 5 exhibitors at Downtown Design.
Fusing east and west, furniture designer Nada Debs has become one of the most famous designers from the Middle East. She gives us her top 5 from Downtown Design.
1. Lasvit: I’m keen on Lasvit because they push the boundaries of lighting. The Creative Director goes above and beyond with his experimentation in design and I’m very impressed.
2. Kvadrat: Kvadrat does the same thing that Lasvit does with lighting, they push the boundaries of experimentation with fabric, their choice of colours is beautiful, the fabrics themselves are of high quality. They really do have cutting edge fabrics.
3. Iwan Maktabi: Iwan Maktabi are one of the greatest carpet dealers and manufacturers. They have a very diverse offering and they’re always looking at new patterns, designs and techniques.
4. Jotun Paints: I feel like colour makes a space stand out, and Jotun helps you achieve that. I love their mission and, coming from an industrial world and moving into an interior decorating space, I feel like I truly understand them. They are the future in quality and colour nuances.
5. Bolon: I like the versatility of Bolon – you can take a very simple tile or carpet concept and turn it into patterns. It fits into different interiors and I really like how the flooring is beautiful and practical at the same time.
