LWK + PARTNERS' Riyadh studio will strengthen their commitment to the Middle East.

Since the launch of their Middle East headquarters in Dubai, in 2018, LWK + PARTNERS, under the leadership of Managing Director Kerem Cengiz have been collaborating with the region’s leading developers and authorities to support urban and infrastructure development across the Middle East.

The launch of their 12th Studio in the Saudi capital Riyadh marks their second physical presence in MENA and the next phase in their ongoing commitment to bringing world-class design services and solutions to the region.

“We are extremely fortunate to support the forward-thinking government in its efforts to transform Saudi Arabia as a regional and international powerhouse through real estate development,” says Cengiz. “We believe in building for the future and creating smart and responsive environments. We are honoured to have collaborated with key partners on vital projects that fulfils the Kingdoms’ vision 2030 in numerous cities including Mecca, Riyadh, Jeddah, Hail and Dammam.”

The studio’s collaborations include a new retail typology and mixed-use environments that seek to challenge existing norms and bring a fresh perspective to retail post COVID-19. They are also working on a province-wide masterplan with a multi-layered brief, involving a wide variety of key stakeholders. Furthermore, LWK+Partners were commissioned to work on a major transit transportation project that will serve as much as a destination in itself.

With consulting roles across master planning exercises and digital transformation solutions for key Giga projects, the Riyadh studio will be one of Saudi Arabia’s key partners in ushering solutions and infrastructure for a new-gen urban fabric. “Despite the global challenges we are all facing, the time now more than ever is right for us to contribute, both strategically and creatively toward the growth of the region,” says Kerem.

As an extension of that sentiment, earlier this year’ LWK+Partners launched the Red Envelope, a source of shared design industry knowledge.
