With a nod to a centuries-old heritage, DG Mosaics re-interprets the art of mosaics creating stunning collections that breathe new life to surfaces.
DG Mosaics was born from a dream, blending creative vision with technological know-how and a 40-year long experience in visual arts. The result was a novel, modern take on the ancient tradition of mosaics. With a vision to free glass mosaics from the usual clichés, DG Mosaics highlight the optical, chromatic and physical features of the miniscule tesserae to allow a limitless range of applications, even in the most challenging contexts.
For Downtown Design, DG Mosaic designed a "total black box" - an ambience as black as night, as dark as ink and mystery itself, brought to life by the deep contrast with light. The installation walls feature colourful hexagonal geometries resembling windows wide open overlooking a sunny landscape, created with the exclusive materials developed by the company.
DG Mosaic’s projects include decorations for private residences and commercial buildings around the world, including the luxurious Hotel Principe di Savoia in Milan.
