Dubai-Based Fronteriors launch their new collection offering a range of solutions to customise kitchens with high-end materials and craftsmanship.

Cofounders, Kathryn Hawkes and Linda Dekkers, both Dubai-based interiors stylists, fulfilled their shared quest to design the things they couldn’t find locally when they joined forces to create Fronteriors in early 2019.

Since then, the start-up has introduced an impressive range of styles to upgrade a selection of IKEA’s furniture frames – most notable being their early cane and linen door designs. The brand offers a curated collection of doors, tops, sides and accessories using on-trend designs and materials.

At the Downtown Design 2020 Digital Fair, Fronteriors launched their designs for IKEA kitchen frames which substantially expands their product range and industry reach – catering to both residential as well as commercial sectors with the opportunity to transform basic furniture frames such as the BESTA, BILLY, PAX and METOD into unique design pieces.

Designed with kitchens in mind, but available across all categories of furniture, the collection is simplistic and minimalist in nature. The three new styles, namely Framed, Basic and Recessed, bring a level of sophistication whilst looking right at home in the kitchen, on a dining console, TV cabinet or wardrobes.

Whilst the concept is online only, the duo will manage kitchen projects on a consultation basis. Clients can either plan or design their kitchen with one of their consultants or with the IKEA team. Once the design is complete, the Fronteriors team will ensure that a dream kitchen, complete with high-end Silestone countertops and optional premium accessories like a Quooker tap, is delivered within 3-4 weeks.
