This year’s program invites influential design experts from across the world to generously share their perspectives on the design scene’s latest trends and hot topics.

Among them, acclaimed Italian architect and designer Mario Bellini, Curator of Design and Architecture at Hong Kong’s  M+ museum for Visual Arts Aric Chen, Head of the Royal College of Art's Interior Design Programme, Ab Rogers, and Vice President of the Achille Castiglioni Foundation, Giovanna Castiglioni.

On October 28th at 6.45pm, one of the world’s most celebrated architects sheds light on design’s inner workings. Internationally acknowledged architect Mario Bellini’s work has found place among the permanent collections of design institutions around the globe, including New York’s Museum of Modern Art (MoMA). Join him at Downtown Design, as he embarks on a fascinating journey on the world of design.

On October 30th at 6.45pm, Giovanna Castiglioni, Vice President of the Achille Castiglioni Foundation and daughter of Achille Castiglioni, will be discussing the preservation of industrial design through the design master’s works. Learn about one of the 20th century’s most emblematic designers and the invaluable legacy he left behind. 

On October 29th at 6.45pm, Aric Chen, Curator of Design and Architecture at M+, Hong Kong’s new museum for visual culture due to open on 2018, will explore how a global museum in Hong Kong can contribute to a richer, more diverse discussion on visual culture as seen from an East Asian perspective.

On October 31st at 2pm, Head of the Interior Design Programme  at the Royal College of Arts and founder of Ab Rogers Design (ARD), Ab Rogers, will be exploring London’s vibrant design scene and the integration of technology in the design process through a series of insightful case studies.
