Presenting 15 exquisite design brands, the Portugese Pavilion debuts at Downtown Design

In its fifth year, Downtown Design will take place from the 14th to 17th of November at the Dubai Design District, showcasing the best of international design, including a strong presence by Portuguese brands. Curated by AIMMP (Association of Industries of Wood and Furniture Portugal), the Portuguese Pavilion will debut at Downtown Design with 15 beautiful brands presenting unique products across a range of categories for residential, hospitality and commercial projects.

A multi-author collection of accessories for home, &Blanc will bring eight small sized functional pieces. Developed by Miguel Flores Soeiro (Art Director), Marco Sousa Santos, Toni Grilo, Gonçalo Campos, and Daniel Vieira; these small-scale accessories, of domestic and semi-industrial production, intend to show the potential of Corian®.

With intentions to transmit and preserve Alma De Luce brings memories of traditions, of places, of myths or legends, symbols and of people of the world to life. The soul and unique identity of each furniture piece comes from the use of noble materials along with drawing inspiration from the “Portuguese craftsmanship and culture”.

DEFONTES: design without limits. In the early 70”s, Alberto Fernandes founded the brand as a local family-owned workshop in Portugal. The brand identifies themselves as a company capable of responding intuitively to the specific needs and aspirations of clients whatever the size of project.

FERTINI CASA is opulence personified with designs developed in the most elaborate connection of shapes, colours and eras. The brands collections have been constructed to be disruptive and flamboyant and designed with magnificence in mind. Chairs are upholstered in smooth suede or in natural leather, preserving style and guaranteeing uniqueness. Luminous wallpaper proposals illuminate and create sparkling walls.
