1971 is a multi-functional design space dedicated to the display and discussion of all forms of contemporary design, ranging from graphic and furniture to interior design and new technologies.
With a variety of curated exhibitions and public programs, 1971 Design Space aims to become a regional and international design hub in the U.A.E, working in close proximity with local designers, architects, schools and universities.
At Downtown Design 2021, 1971 Design Space presented a collaborative experience by Jawaher Al Khayyal and the Dubai based Interior Design Studio LBO. The studio and designer have come together for Downtown Editions to recreate a version of the ongoing exhibition at 1971 Design Space.
