With over a century of history, Roca has grown from a small manufacturer of cast iron radiators in Gavà, near Barcelona, into a global leader in bathroom design and solutions. Founded in 1917, the company entered the bathroom sector in 1929 with the production of baths, later expanding into vitreous china sanitaryware and brassware.
Driven by a commitment to innovation and the evolving relationship between people and water, Roca began its international expansion in the 1980s, establishing a presence across Europe and later through acquisitions and new production facilities worldwide. A key milestone came in 1999 with the acquisition of Swiss brand Laufen, strengthening Roca’s position in strategic global markets.
