Iraqi designer and architect Ola Znad, born in Baghdad and raised in Bahrain, founded Studio ZNAD in 2018. Grounded in research, craft, and urban identity, her multidisciplinary practice spans architecture, art, and spatial design to explore themes of memory and displacement.
Their furniture collection draws inspiration from the mudhif, the traditional reed structure of the Iraqi marshes. Rather than copying the architecture directly, each piece reinterprets specific details, such as arches, woven textures, and structural rhythms, translating historic material logic into refined contemporary design.
