Spanish artist and designer Loreto Llorens is the founder of Elemental Roots Studio, based in Dubai. Originally trained as an industrial engineer, she combines her technical knowledge of structure and electricity with an intuitive, hands-on ceramic practice. Her handmade, one-of-a-kind and small-series lighting pieces merge engineering and functional art while celebrating the natural imperfections of clay, firing, and surface treatments.

Arrecife is a collection of sculptural ceramic lighting inspired by the branching patterns and organic structures of coral reefs. Rather than reproducing coral literally, each handmade clay piece translates natural rhythms into fluid forms filled with unique cavities, textures, and shadows. Bridging the gap between sculpture and function, illumination transforms these elemental clay objects into atmospheric works of art.
