Egyptian designer Kaos Decor is a Dubai-based functional art studio founded by a two-artist collective focused on material transformation. The studio recycles paper waste, found cardboard, and thrifted items into tactile sculptural forms. Celebrating asymmetry, irregularity, and human handcraft, their practice gives discarded materials a second life through raw, expressive object design.
This one-of-a-kind set, consisting of a chair and a table, uses discarded, familiar furniture as a base rather than producing new structures. Layered with handmade paper-mâché from recycled paper and cardboard, the pieces feature bold colors, hand-painted details, and irregular surfaces. By highlighting imperfections instead of concealing them, the collection transforms overlooked items into expressive, functional sculptures.
